Hi everybody!!!

Hi, let me introduce myself. My name is Alan Jarandilla Nuñez. Im from La Paz - Bolivia. I like reading, listening to music and playing soccer, to mention some of the things I like to do. I'm specially interested in making change in my country because I think that's the first step we have to follow if we want to change the world. I expect to learn from this e-course many things: universal access to HIV treatment, human rights, how to take action, etc. Right now, I've been working in the organization of National United Nations Models in my school, with the main porpose to raise awareness from young people about international issues, such as: climate change, HIV - AIDS, human rights, economy, discrimination, etc. I'm sure this is gonna be a great experience!

  3. Hi Alan. I am Teja from Indonesia. It's great knowing someone else is doing the action at school. I am developing a curriculum to prevent HIV-AIDS too. My concentration is in Junior High School, they are aroung 13-15 years old, since this intervention is a prevention program. Will be glad if we can educate each other with any information at your school.

    Cheers,

  5. Hi everybody! I'm happy to see that you posted a comment on my blog and now I would liketo reply some of your questions:

First: Alex! I want to thank you for posting. I have a lot of experience working on the organization of United Nations Models better known as MUNs; a model of the United Nations is a great experience where young people are able to discuss about international problems such as HIV-AIDS, Human Rights, Climate Change, etc. I started the organization of a Model of the United Nations in my school, but this was a national event and we received many participants from all over my country, Bolivia. The main objective of the event was to raise awareness about important problems that affect our world. So as soon as they started investigating about those problems they realized that action is needed to solve them, so they started to work on projects to help their communities cities, etc. that were affected by those problems. Nowadays I'm organizing another Model of the United Nations that is intended to be international because we want to spread the word more and more.

  7. Hi Lia! When I first had the idea, I thought that to mobilize other young people it is important to raise their awareness in important topics such as HIV-AIDS, Human Rights, Climate Change, Economy, Poverty, etc. and we demonstrated that it is possible to raise awareness with the organization of a Model of the United Nations. A Model of the United Nations is an event where young people can discuss about an important problem an also look for possible solutions to those problems. If you would like me to give you further information, please let me know.
