PROBLEM TREE

This is my Problem Tree. Answering to the questions, I'm specially interested in changing the lack of knowledge that Bolivian society has. I think that is the most important cause of discrimination, that's why I put it in the center of the roots. I think I have the necessary time and I think I'm able to obtain all necessary resources to try to change that cause.

  1. HIV stigma and discrimination is a significant barrier in efforts to prevent new infections and support positive living. I'd suggest that you focus your advocacy action plan on one small piece of Bolivian society at time. This will help to increase your chances of achieving your goal. For example, maybe you could plan an awareness campaign through your school or faith community?

  2. Good work Allan, I Think it is an important barrier in all latin america and we all must to fight it, but as Lia said, you can start to work on a small community, it s like one step at the time... It is like a action chain... for example: to change the lack of knowledge you need to do some campaigns (on Tv, radio, etc), but first you need sponsors.. to get sponsors your work need to be known... etc etc... Think about what do you need before,to get that goal, and maybe this could be your target for now.

  3. Great work Alan! I agree with both Rick and Lia. You have some great options in your tree for areas of action such as discrimination in schools and access to employment for people living with HIV. I'm looking forward to more work for you! Also, you may be interested in the work of the Bolivian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (REDBOL). They don't have a website... but you could look them up and see what work they do... that is if you don't already know about them :)
